A message from Maria Wilson, Headteacher.

I am very pleased to welcome you to St Paul’s RCVA Primary School.

At our school we aim to create a learning environment that is exciting, challenging, safe and happy.  We want to unlock the potential of every child to help them achieve in their learning and grow into capable young people.

St Paul's became a full primary school in September 2017 and our roll now includes Yr5 & Yr6 children.  We have a very committed team of staff who are dedicated to their work and aim to address the needs of each individual child to enable them to reach their full potential. Governors and staff recognise the importance of developing good relationships with parents so that we can work together to provide the best possible education for your child.

We currently teach children from 3 to 11 years of age in our primary school; we also have 'Little Lambs at St. Paul's', our own very special pre-school unit for children from 2 years. Here we provide childcare sessions everyday between 8.45am and 4.00pm. By working alongside our Early Years team we enable some of our children to come and go from Little Lambs to our school nursery, providing a service for parents to access childcare provision throughout the day. We also run a breakfast club from 8.00am and an after-school club from 3.00pm to 5.30pm providing wrap-around care for our school community.

We have close links with our Catholic Partnership of Schools beyond our local area, as well as schools within our locality. With such a wide variety of connections, we are able to strengthen and broaden the learning experience for your child.

A successful transition at the end of your child's time in our primary school is a crucial aspect of our work and every effort is made to ensure that the change to either St. Benet Biscop Academy, our Catholic feeder high school, or the new Duchess's Community High School, is managed smoothly and efficiently for your child.

Prospective parents with thier children are most welcome to contact school to arrange a visit and tour our extensive facilities and well equipped classrooms. I look forward to meeting you.
