Alnwick Food Bank

At Harvest time we collected tinned food items to donate to the local food bank to help people in need. Year 6 packed the cars belonging to our vice chair of governors and headteacher. The head boy and head girl delivered the food to Alnwick food bank and discussed ways they could help again in the Spring term.

This week they wrote a letter to the whole school inviting them to wear their own clothes on the feast of St. Paul for a donation of £1.00. Some of school council will go with them to purchase much needed items to donate to the food bank.

This is will test their mathematics skills!
Well done to everyone for raising over £140 for the Alnwick Food Bank. Today some of Y6 went to Morrisons and purchased items requested by volunteers. They managed to buy lots of cereal, tinned meat, tinned fruit and puddings to help families in need.
Definitely living out the Word of God.
