Vision Statement

'Growing in God's Love to be the Best We Can Be'

St. Paul’s Catholic Primary School is a vibrant Christian community where at the heart of our school is a love for God. We respect the uniqueness of the individual made in God’s image and loved by him and this is immersed in our core values of faith, respect, resilience and happiness. We aim to deliver a high standard of education for all, based on the understanding that the whole person is celebrated. We continue to strive for excellence in the daily life of our school; where together we live, love, learn and celebrate. In working outwardly, our partnership with parents, our parishes, other schools and the wider community, will benefit. We will endeavour to provide open and supportive communication which fosters effective, caring relationships between all.

We have a clear Mission Statement which describes how we are to achieve our Vision through encouraging and fostering the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of children, whilst preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.

The school aims to:

  • Live its whole life in an atmosphere of Christian love and enthusiastic concern for ideals and for growth and development in the community.
  • Ensure that the curriculum enables children to grow in knowledge and understanding and in the acquisition of skills, attitudes and values in a Christian setting.
  • Develop in children an appreciation of their own worth and that of other people in an environment of respect, forgiveness and co-operation where all children enjoy their learning and show determination to acheive the very best they can.
  • Manage the total school community with integrity and sensitivity so that it can be a safe, stimulating place to learn.
  • Maintain and develop structures for the daily caring of the pupil's emotional and physical welfare, giving a wide range of opportunities to stay healthy in mind and body.
  • Create an interaction between school, home, Parish and the wider community, where pupils feel valued by making positive contributions to their communities and are well prepared for life in modern Britain and the wider world.
  • Help the children move into a genuine personal commitment to faith and worship.
  • Set standards of behaviour and discipline to enable everyone to live in a harmonious environment where all children make at least good progress in their learning to attain as highly as they can.

Clearly we aim to be a centre of excellence, encompassing living out our Christian faith and providing the very best education. This allows children to maximise their potential whilst interacting into and enriching the community we serve.
